Description

This has it all- a Naknek fishing related murder and tight plotting. Set at the Whitney Fidalgo cannery on Naknek’s north bank, now owned by Trident, the story is a window into the chaos of the Bristol Bay salmon season while bringing humor to liven it all up. Deschner lays out the cannery class system of slime liners, fishers and cannery management as well as various boat issues and fisher competition on and off the water. This book strikes the same comedic tone as John Nichols Milagro Beanfield War and is every bit as good.
